How To Play Switch

Rules Switch Card Game

The dealer gives each player 8 cards, face down. The other cards are all placed in a pile face-down in the center. The top card is then turned to face up and placed next to the pile.

Taking turns, each player takes one card from the center pile and puts one of their cards face up on top of the face-up card in the middle. The card they play must be either the same number or the same suit as the face-up card on the center pile.

If any player puts an ace on the pile, the suit changes to whichever suit they want. If a player doesn’t have a card to play, they skip a turn. The round finishes when one player has no more cards in their hand. The points on the cards of the others are then added up and written under their names. The value of the card points are:

  • Face cards are worth 10 points each.
  • Number cards are the face value of the card.

The game continues until one player gets to 100 points. The points are all tallied and the winner is the player with the lowest score.
