What's Your Scene?
In the Scene
If you work "In the Scene," it means you are in a customer service position. To do this, you should have good communication skills, decent social skills, and the desire to assist people. If you work "In the Scene," you will probably have frequent contact with the public (in person or by phone) across the entire work day. This means you would talk to customers at least 5 times per hour. You will also be required to interact with your co-workers many times (i.e. at least 5 times) per day.
You will probably work near many customers and some co-workers. This means you might sit or stand next to customers and co-workers. These jobs also require that you manage your anxiety and frustration in appropriate ways because you are working in public. Even when you feel upset, you have to be able to keep those feelings to yourself. Customers don’t want to hear about your stress and frustration; they only want you to help them with what they need.
